Hybrid Learning Program - Start Date Delay
Tukwila School District Families and Staff

Previously, the District communicated the Hybrid Learning Program would begin on March 8th. This start date has been pushed back to a later date. The District and TEA are collaboratively working towards a new start date. Once an agreement has been reached, the District will communicate the new start date as well as additional information regarding the Hybrid Learning Program.

Fall 2020
Tukwila School District is is committed to keeping our students, staff and community informed in regard to reopening schools in the fall. The health and well-being of our students and staff continues to be our highest priority.
In June, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) released Guidelines for safely reopening schools. Based on the OSPI guidelines and King County Health recommendations, Tukwila School District is considering two models for the reopening in the fall.
The first model offers combined in-person learning and distance learning. The second model is 100% distance/online learning. On July 14th, both of these models were presented to the Board of Directors for review, discussion and input. To review the options presented to the School Board, please click on the yellow button above.
We are committed to providing each student a full year of learning that meets the needs of our diverse student population. To do this, we need your help. We need to hear from our students, our staff, our families and our community. Your input will help guide us to make the best decision for our students and their education.
