Career Pathways
The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department offers a variety of career pathways aligned with the most in-demand careers in our region. At Foster High School, students can explore programs and career clusters in areas such as Environmental Science, Advanced Biotechnology, Manufacturing, Construction, Culinary Arts, Business Marketing and Administration, and A/V Technology and Communications.
The expansion of these programs was made possible by the support of Tukwila voters who passed the 2016 construction bond, helping create modern learning spaces and new opportunities for students.
CTE programs provide students with additional pathways to graduation while building valuable career skills. Students may also extend their learning through opportunities like Puget Sound Skill Center, Running Start, and Dual Credit courses, which allow them to earn both high school and college credit.
