Travel Safety

Getting to and from school safely is just as important as feeling secure while at school. Please review and discuss the following reminders with your child:

  • Walking to School: Always use crosswalks, follow crossing guards’ directions, and walk with friends or siblings whenever possible.

  • Biking: Wear a helmet, follow traffic rules, and stay alert to cars and pedestrians.

  • Riding the Bus: Stay seated, follow the driver’s instructions, and keep aisles clear.

  • Drop-Off and Pick-Up: Follow school traffic flow procedures, avoid double parking, and use designated loading/unloading areas.

  • Stranger Safety: Remind students never to accept rides or gifts from strangers and to report anything that makes them feel unsafe.
