2026 Summer School
Tukwila School District is excited to offer FREE Summer School for all K-8 students this summer. The program provides academic support, enrichment activities, and engaging learning experiences to help students continue growing throughout the summer months.
Program Dates
July 6 – July 31, 2026
Monday through Friday
Transportation
Transportation will be available for students who live outside the school walk zone if they are registered by April 20.
Students who register after April 20 may be placed on a waitlist depending on available space.
Locations & Daily Schedule
Thorndyke Elementary School
Grades K–5 | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Foster High School
Grades 6–8 | 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Grades 9–12 | 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM (High school programming is available by referral only for students who need to make up credit or take English Language for Newcomers).
Families of grades 6–12 students may choose to pick up their student after morning instruction if preferred.

Registration
Families can register using the link below. If you have multiple children, the form allows you to register siblings at the same time.
Register by April 20 to guarantee enrollment and transportation.

Thorndyke Elementary: 8:00- 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM- 12:00 PM (June 23- August 22 | Monday- Friday)
Showalter Middle School: 7:30- 8:00 AM & 11:00 AM- 12:00 PM (July 7- July 30 | Monday- Thursday)
Tukwila Community Center: 12:00- 1:00 PM (June 23- August 29 | Monday- Friday)
